Description: Good Project! This auction is for a 1992 Stratos 285 Fishing Boat. This boat was involved in a wreck and does not have a title. This boat will be sold as parts only and can only to sold to non-Illinois residents. This boat has multiple areas where the fiberglass has been cracked and will need repaired. The boat is being sold without an engine or a trailer. The fiberglass should be easy to repair as the damage is not to extensive. The boat has plenty of storage with a large rod locker on the passenger side. The boat is 19′ long and has enough room to accommodate at least 3 fishermen comfortably. The rear compartments consist of 2 separate livewells in the center and 2 storage compartments on the sides. The rear hatch houses the batteries and other mechanical components. Gauges have not been tested as the motor was damaged The boat looks to be in good condition and was not abused before the wreck. The trolling motor is included in the auction and is a Johnson. It has not been tested but appears to be in working condition. The steering wheel and throttle control have been left on the boat and were paired to a Johnson 175 outboard. The boats motor is the only thing that is missing. The boat will need some TLC but can be a good fishing boat with a little work done to it. 1992 Stratos 201 Pro XL bass boat with 1995 Evinrude Vindicator and trailer. Boat is a single console with newer 2006 seats. In the photos one seat cushion is missing but I have since replaced it. Has a large rod locker with custom rod rack installed. Vexilar fish finders front and back. I am selling it with my Humminbird 778 color fish finder on the bow. There will not be a trolling motor on the boat. It has 3 batteries installed one cranking and two for a 24v trolling motor. Carpet is in pretty darn good condition for the year. no major tears or problems. Livewells work well, it has pro air installed but needs new tubes and stones. The finish on the boat looks shiny when wet but dried out has some oxidation. A gel coat product to bring out the shine would probably do wonders on it. It has some rub marks and cracks like most boats that age, I have had the transom looked at and it was still in good shape. The boat will do about 68 MPH trimmed out and loaded down. It also has a three marker bouy set installed, hot foot, and dual trim levers on the column. Trailer has tires approx 2 years old but only pulled for one season. Has ratchet tie downs in back. Lots of storage available on the boat as seen in pics. The engine has a new starter a year ago, I have tested compression on it and have less than 7% variance in the cylinders. I can’t find the sheet where I wrote the numbers down. But they are the same as when I had purchased it 3 years ago. Raker Stainless Steel prop, new VRO fuel pump/ oil pump in 2011.
